1980s

The 1980’s were weird. Music was increasingly using technology in instruments and sounds, which resulted in the rapid growth of electronic music. The 80’s inherited disco, saw an evolution of rock into stadium rock concerts, and ended with commercial pop, dance and even rap in the charts. There was also a LOT of hairspray.

About

This is POP RESCUE, and we're all about saving pop CDs and vinyl LPs that were released between 1980-2009.

We rescue them from their uncertain futures in charity shops, thrift stores, carboot sales, and online auctions, and then dust them off and give them a brand new track-by-track review, allowing you to discover forgotten gems, or reminisce on yesteryear.

Browse our range of 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 'Neighbours' TV Soap Stars, Eurovision artists, and Christmas album reviews now.
